MOVIES WITH BALLS

In the fall of 2023, I successfully pitched and sold a book concept to Quirk Books. The concept was based on a series of original ticket stubs I designed for the “greatest fictional sporting events in movie history.” What did the the ticket look like for the fight between Rocky and Drago from Rocky IV, the climatic game in Robert Redford’s The Natural or the high school championship game in Teen Wolf? What started out as a simple “coffee table book” became an in-depth analysis of cinema’ greatest sports movies, chockfull of colorful illustrations, game play diagrams, trading cards, recipes and even original sneaker designs. MOVIE WITH BALLS is a culmination of two years of concepting, writing, illustration and design; encapsulating my passion for sports, cinema and creativity.
